About baby and mommy-and-me yoga in Ontario
Baby yoga and mommy-and-me yoga are postnatal classes you attend with your baby, from gentle floor work and stretching for new parents to movement games that include the baby.
What to look for
- Whether the class is parent-and-baby or parent-only.
- The age band: pre-crawling classes differ from classes for mobile babies.
- Instructor training in postnatal or baby yoga.
- Class size, and whether you can drop in or must commit to a block.
- Whether there is a trial class or a refund policy.
What it costs
Most baby and mommy-and-me yoga studios sell a block of weekly classes or a drop-in. Few of the Ontario studios we list publish a price we could read, so we do not quote a range here. Ask whether the first class is a trial.
Prices are what providers published on their own sites in 2026 and change often.

Baby and mommy-and-me yoga: common questions
How soon after birth can I start postnatal yoga?
Many studios ask for medical clearance, often around the six-week check-up, though it varies after a caesarean or complications. Follow your health care provider's advice and confirm with the studio.
Can I bring a baby who is not yet crawling?
Usually yes; that is the age most baby yoga classes are designed for. Check each studio's age band, since classes for walking toddlers are run differently.
Do I need experience?
No. Postnatal classes assume you are new or returning to exercise.
